Fresh from the success of last year's
Leaders' Conference at Baguio, Aksyon Kabataan leaders are again preparing
for another national conference this time to be held in Cebu. "Mission:
Possible - Leading The Youth Towards Democratic Action" promises
to serve not only as a training program but also a planning activity for
the upcoming local elections.
Conceived as a follow-up to the 1st conference, this gathering's program will be more concrete. Sen. Roco suggested that since the 1st conference was aimed at helping the delegates realize a sense of mission with Aksyon Demokratiko, the 2nd conference must lead the youth leaders toward action.
Darwin Mariano, national president, handles logistics while Moses Florendo serves as Program director.
Right now, preparations are underway as leaders are invited to participate. This year's criteria are more stringent with the potential delegates being required to pass two recommendations and an essay with the application form. These documents will be the basis for screening.
